Liberty Sunset Garden Center
Redhook . Brooklyn, NY
Portable SIPs and Built-in 4'x4' Raised Beds

Liberty Sunset Garden Center was a public demonstration garden by Frieda Lim and Urban Greenscaper, Bob Hyland.  Display gardens ranged from thematic edible windowboxes, classic Earth Boxes, DIY SIPS, and 4 x 4 sub-irrigated raised beds.  The landmark 4 x 4 raised beds were modeled on classic Square Foot Gardening.  The beds performed to abundance even with the challenge of 2010's record heat.  Watering was paced at only once to twice a week intervals throughout the season.
