P.S. 39 Edible Community Garden:  March 19th Kickoff Event:  Preparing the Planters and Window Boxes

True community spirit was shown with about 50 people attending the first garden party.  Everyone gathered for an introductory workshop, then jumped into building 20 SIPs and retrofitting existing window boxes. We celebrated our completion and honored National Corn Dog Day with homemade corn dogs and fried pickles.
